July Donations - Ichthyosis Awareness

Happy July! This month we will be donating 10% of all sales to Harlequin Diva Donations so families who have a child with Ichthyosis can get a micro bubble bathtub #littlestwarriordonates

My name is Jennie and my daughter Anna was born with a very rare disorder called Harlequin Ichthyosis. There are about 28 types of Ichthyosis and harlequin is the most severe and rare of all of them. Annas skin doesn’t transport a protein to the outer layer of her skin causing her to produce skin ten times faster then regular in the bodies attempt to heal itself. Because of this she also cannot sweat and is much more susceptible to infection. She also needs to bathe for many hours a day to help take the excess skin off. After Annas initial stay in the hospital I researched many ways to help treat her skin and I found a bathtub that makes micro bubbles. These bubbles help to exfoliate skin without painful scrubbing and also helps to cut down on bathing times. I recently Started a website that takes donations to help other families afford these bathtubs. My family was lucky enough to have a wonderful community that pitched in and bought Anna her tub and I wanted to do the same for others. There will never be a cure, but there are things that make life a lot easier for these families and I’d like to be able to help as many people as possible.
